With members drawn from across the University as well as representatives from UCU and Unison, the group focuses on actions to improve the staff experience such as recognition; change management; workload; and communications and cooperation across the University.
Colleagues are invited to register for the Professional Services Network email group which provides a link between professionals at the University as well as updates from other members of the group and Professor Anne-Marie Kilday, Pro Vice-Chancellor Student and Staff Experience. To join please email Pam Fortescue on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Throughout the year, a series of workshops and activities will be run by the network to support Professional Services colleagues in their work and personal development, and to enable them to build upon their skills and learn from good practice across the University. The workshops have replaced the annual AdFor conference and have previously included supporting staff and students with mental health issues, equality, diversity and inclusion training and career development. In addition, an annual Staff Research Showcase aims to highlight the research undertaken by colleagues in non-academic roles; the significance, value and relevance of which is often less visible across the institution.
For all upcoming events and activities keep an eye out on Onstream latest and the event pages.
