  • The Medical Centre

    The Medical Centre is located in the 3rd floor of the Colonnade Building on Headington Campus. It is open from 8.30am – 6.00pm, Monday to Friday (semester time only).

    Students wishing to register with us must reside within our practice area (postcodes OX3 and OX4). Students living at Harcourt Hill Campus can register with the Botley Medical Centre. Students living at Wheatley Campus can register with the Wheatley Surgery. For more surgeries within your area, please visit NHS Choices.

    During semester, appointments are available both on campus at the Medical Centre and at our main surgery, St Bartholomew’s Medical Centre, on the Cowley Road. During vacation, appointments are only available at our main surgery, St Bartholomew’s Medical Centre.

    Do you need a vaccination?

    All students are advised to have the MMR and Meningitis ACWY vaccination before arriving at University. Please check with your own GP before arriving to check you are up to date. Please see the new guidelines for Meningitis ACWY for students attending University.

    Students who are living within OX3 or OX4 postcodes are advised to register online.?If you cannot register online, you will need to visit the Medical Centre to do so.

    Opening hours:

    • Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 6.00pm (semester time only)
    • Doctors appointments in surgery / doctors advice by telephone

    Nursing services:

    • 8.30am – 12.00pm Minor illness drop-in (sit and wait)
    • 1.30 – 5.30pm Appointments only
